Each fall, the Archaeological Society of South Carolina hosts a free public field day featuring archaeological and historical demonstrations. Join us on October 11, 2025 to learn about how the people of South Carolina’s distant and recent past experienced their daily lives through work, play, food, and community.

Held on October 26, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 3 PM at the Cayce Historical Museum in Cayce, South Carolina.
2023 Fall Field Day
Held on October 6, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 3 PM at the 12,000 Year History Park on Congaree Creek in Cayce, South Carolina.
2022 Fall Field Day
Held on October 8, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 3 PM at the 12,000 Year History Park on Congaree Creek in Cayce, South Carolina.
2021 Fall Field Day
Held on September 25, 2021 from 10:30 AM to 3 PM at the 12,000 Year History Park on Congaree Creek in Cayce, South Carolina.
2020 Fall Field Day
Due to the continuing danger posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Archaeological Society of South Carolina decided not to hold an in-person event for Fall Field Day. Instead, we hosted a virtual event through our Facebook page during October to celebrate Archaeology Month.
