Become a Member

Get involved in archaeology by joining the Archaeological Society of South Carolina. Each membership includes:
  • The annual volume of the journal, South Carolina Antiquities
  • Registration for the Annual Conference on South Carolina Archaeology
 ASSC Membership Levels
  • $15 – Senior (individuals 62 years or older)
  • $15 – Student
  • $20 – Senior Family
  • $25 – Individual
  • $30 – Family
  • $100 – Institutional
  • $500 – Lifetime

Membership dues (except for Lifetime) are based on the calendar year. Annual dues are payable on January 1st. Dues paid anytime during the year are for that year.

The following are ways you can renew membership online or via mail. You can also always register in person at the annual conference and fall field day. Feel free to come see us and sign up to become a member!

Becoming a Member/Renewing Membership by Mail
To become a new member via mail, download and print the membership form and fill in your information on the second page, and provide a check for the appropriate amount made out to “ASSC.” Please mail the membership form and check to the following address:

Joining Chapters
If you are interested in joining a local ASSC chapter, you must pay membership dues to them as well.  For information on each individual chapter including membership fees and events, see the Chapters page. For more information, contact us at info@archaeologysc.org

Change of Address
If your mailing address has recently changed, you can either indicate your new address when you renew your membership on Square, send us an email at info@archaeologysc.org, or print and mail in the Change of Address form to our PO Box.
